Terms of Use

El Cronista Impostor is a hidden-roles party game. You can play by passing one phone, in multi-device rooms, or via public matchmaking. The App is provided as-is, with free features and optional paid Premium.

Use the App lawfully and respectfully. Harassment, impersonation, abusive disruption, exploiting bugs, or automation that degrades the service is prohibited. Hosts may kick players; we may limit access for abuse or capacity reasons.

Nicknames, words, and in-game messages are your responsibility. Do not post others’ personal data or illegal content. In online play, that content is visible to others in the room.

Premium unlocks extra features (e.g. more characters or categories). Web payments may use PayPal; native apps use in-app purchases through the app store where you installed the App (e.g. the App Store). Refunds follow each payment platform’s policy. A restore code may move Premium to another device—do not share it if you want to keep exclusive access.

Software, branding, logos, character art, and App text are ours or our licensors’. No license is granted to redistribute them outside normal gameplay.

Some screens may show illustrative images from third-party sources (e.g. Wikipedia/Wikimedia or Openverse). Those images and their rights belong to their respective authors or rightsholders; they are used only as in-game visual hints and may not match the secret word. We do not guarantee accuracy, availability, or that each image’s license permits every use; if a rightsholder asks, we may remove or replace the image.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features (including public rooms or capacity limits) for maintenance, security, or operations. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

To the extent allowed by law, the App is provided without implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Our aggregate liability related to the App is limited to the amount you paid for Premium in the prior 12 months (or zero if you only use free features), except for willful misconduct or liability that cannot be limited by law.

Data processing is described in the Privacy Policy.

These terms are governed by Spanish law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. Unless mandatory rules say otherwise, Spanish courts have jurisdiction.

We may update these terms. The update date shows the current version. Continued use after a material change constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
